Lineage II Subclass Account Service Has Arrived
Lineage II is getting a bit long in the tooth these days, but the game still has a dedicated playerbase and still looks excellent. It’s also feature-heavy in the way that only long-running games can be, complete with the fan-loved feature of sub-classes. Having an “extra” class on top of a character’s main class is almost universally liked in every game that features it. Of...
Microsoft Using PlayStation 3 Footage to Promote Final Fantasy XIII on Xbox 360
While the game remains available solely on PlayStation 3 in Japan, the UK release of Final Fantasy XIII has been much more widely publicised for the Xbox 360. Along with a number of bundle options including both the software and a console to play it on, television adverts and sponsored magazine coverage has often managed to conveniently forget that the game is also available on Sony’s PlayStation...
Editorial: Connection Failure
On paper, the decision to force PC games to maintain a persistent Internet connection as part of their DRM protection measures is a terrible one – yet this week it’s been revealed that Electronic Arts plans to follow in Ubisoft’s footsteps by forcing Command & Conquer 4 players to remain connected to EA’s servers while playing. Any interruption in the connection will result...

Destructoid Counterpoint: God of War III is too long, boring
Anthony Burch writes, “It’s rare that anyone complains about a game being too long. Sure, game designer Randy Smith argued as much in his recent GDC rant, but you never hear us regular gamer-types arguing that we got too much for our money. I’ve never personally complained that a game was too long, so long as I liked its basic gameplay. Never, that is, until God of War III.

MMOHut: FusionFall to go Full Free to Play
MMOHut, “Cartoon Network’s FusionFall was one of the coolest browser based MMORPGs I ever played. The trouble was you could only explore the first major area on a free account. To see the rest of the world, players had to sign up for a monthly subscription. Well not anymore! The developers gave hints late last year that the game would be moving from a ‘freemium’ model to a free...
